All-Day Brunch at Moon Gypsy, Senopati

Moon Gypsy is a café and bakery on Jl. Senopati with large windows, wooden interiors and an open kitchen where croissants are baked through the day. It is widely recommended as one of the area's best brunch spots, with an all-day brunch menu that draws on Melbourne café culture.

Menu favourites include the Ricotta Hotcake (Rp90,000), the Gypsy Breakfast of sourdough, eggs and beef sausage (Rp105,000), Chicken Truffle Nanban Omurice (Rp90,000) and the Korean-inspired Galbi Benedict. The pastry counter covers classic and seasonal croissants and danishes such as strawberry pistachio and sea-salt honey. For drinks, there is espresso coffee, einspänner cold brew, berry soda and matcha.

The semi-outdoor area is pet-friendly. The café fills up quickly at weekends, usually from about 10am, and parking is limited, so arrive early for the calmest atmosphere and the fullest pastry selection. Budget roughly Rp90,000–150,000 per person.
