Hathaway, on the ground floor of Capital Tower on Robinson Road, blends British comfort food with the flavours of the Straits. On weekends and public holidays it turns its lunch service into an all-you-can-eat Brunch Buffet, served in a 90-minute sitting from noon.
The spread runs from mini croissants, brioche and sourdough, scrambled and sunny side-up eggs and chicken sausages to smoked salmon crostini and roast Australian beef with entrecôte sauce. The local side brings kueh pie tee, chicken galae skewers, golden coconut barramundi, Hainanese chicken rice and the restaurant's signature laksa, followed by kueh ko swee, kueh salat, sago gula melaka, pulut hitam and mini tarts. Coffee, tea and juice are included.
Hathaway does not serve pork or lard, and its alfresco area is pet-friendly on weekends and public holidays. The buffet may switch to unlimited à la carte service on quieter sessions. The CBD location is quiet at weekends, making it an easy, good-value choice for families and groups.
