The Central Business District, Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar quieten down at the weekend, which makes them a surprisingly good place for brunch. Hotels such as Sofitel City Centre, Andaz, Parkroyal Collection Pickering and the Duxton-area boutiques run weekend brunches, while the neighbourhood's restaurants and shophouse bars offer sharing-menu and free-flow brunches with a more relaxed, social feel. This is the area for variety: you'll find everything from grand international buffets and Straits-inspired spreads to modern European set menus and Cantonese dim sum brunches.
